Large size CNC router

AluStep is a high-performance large CNC router. It is a 3 interpolated axes CNC router (optional 4th rotary axis), easy to use and with milling performance suitable for various types of materials. It is CNC machine ideal for handicraft and industrial production.

AluStep for milling wood, plastic, resins and metals

Alustep can perform two-dimensional cutting and engraving milling, and three-dimensional milling such as bas-reliefs and complex geometries.

The powerful 2.2 kW spindle at 24,000 rpm and the large work surface make it a CNC pantograph excellent for large format work on: wood, plastic, resins and light metal alloys.

High-performance large size CNC router

The large aluminum structure of the router is extremely compact and allows you to use RM-AluStep3D in different milling works. The high-quality of mechanical components guarantee you great reliability. So you’ll be able to mill for long period of time, without any overheating problems.

The clamping system is extremely solid and accurate thanks to the aluminum worktop.

The worktop of the CNC router is composed of  “T” slots, that allow you to clamp the rough material in 2 ways: through mechanical clamping or through vacuum table.

High speed electrospindle

AluStep is equipped with a 2.2 kW 24,000 rpm electrospindle for high speed milling. The air cooling system allows perfect heat dissipation and avoids any problem of overheating.

The elastic pliers for the attachment of the cutters allow to accommodate tools up to 16 mm in diameter and guarantee the perfect balance of the tool, considerably reducing any vibration during processing.

Upgraded versions up to 60,000 revolutions per minute and quick release electrospindles for automatic tool change are available.

Tangential cut head

Not everything can be cut with a milling tool or with a laser, many materials need to be cut and shaped with the blade. Mainly this type of technology works on fabrics, felts, rubbers, needlepunches, doormats, plastics in rolls, cardboards and foams.

Some materials, usually the thinnest, only require a fixed blade tangential cut. The blade pressure is guaranteed by a pneumatic piston with manual calibration by means of a pressure switch.

Working area and dimensions

The opening of the security shelters allows you to easily access to work area and provides effective protection against the uncontrolled evacuation of material. AluStep has been designed to better meet the needs of those who craft, for professional production and for those who search for a CNC router that is able of working in both medium and big areas.

High precision ball screws

Thanks to the High Precision ball screws you can always get the perfect positioning of the router’s axes. The extremely low operating torque of the ball screws ensures to optimize the consumption power and the engine performance.

Linear motion guides

The slidings of the axes are always fast and fluid thanks to the linear motion guides. The precision of the milling process is guaranteed by the very high rigidity of the guides, which they always keep the bridge in an accurate and stable mode.

Yaskawa motors

The best Yaskawa servo motors for CNC milling machines. AluStep mounts on all its axes Yaskawa Sigma 7 motor with inverters, a guarantee of reliability and precision, with very high precision and with unmatched performance.

CAD/ CAM compatible software

AluStep is compatible with the main CAD/ CAM software. the XMC software interface allows you to import and execute the ISO G-code processing files generated with the main CAM software available on the market.

XMC 5 HMI for Windows

XMC 5 HMI is the operator interface for Windows® environment simple and intuitive that allows you to have under control all the commands necessary to pilot AluStep. Through the software interface it is possible to: import the workings, analyze the project from the 2D/ 3D preview and start the work. All the productivity and processing status data are managed and processed in real time using the integrated Analytics 4.0 plugin.

4.0 Analytics: data analysis software

4.0 Analytics is the data analysis software for the Ronchini Massimo machines, which allows you to: monitor, store and export the productivity data of AluStep.

4.0 Analytics complies with Industry 4.0 standards and allows all Ronchini Massimo CNC machines to communicate with the main business management software, importing the data of: life, production and error generated by the CNC pantograph.

Optional available

Oscillating tangential cut head

Blade cutting head, with fixed and oscillating blade. Ideal for processing materials that cannot be milled such as rubbers and fabrics.

Interpolated fourth axis

Continuous and indexed fourth interpolated axis, with sealing system with 4 dependent jaws for cylindrical machining.

Worktop with suction holes

Worktop with suction holes for holding workpieces and suction system with 5,5 kW blower vacuum pump.

10 positions ATC

Automatic tool change with 10 positions.

Tool presetting

Mechanical probe for automatic measurement of tool length.

Dust collector

Dust collector with adjustable positioning and removable brushes with magnetic holding.
