Robot for 3D milling
Three-dimensional milling without shape limits. RM-RoboCut3D is our robotic cell for three-dimensional milling with sculptor robot with 6 interpolated axes. An extremely flexible solution for the milling of foam and wood, ideal for scenographic productions, prototyping, design and art.
RM-RoboCut3D for milling foams, resins and other materials
It is possible to carry out three-dimensional milling operations in the round to create: statues, scenographies, bas-reliefs, design objects.
RM-RoboCut3D is equipped with a powerful 24,000 rpm spindle which makes it an ideal sculpting robot for working on: high density polystyrene (EPS and XPS), wood, plastic, resins and foams.
High-performance three-dimensional milling without shape limits
RM-RoboCut3D offers high milling performance and greater movement flexibility than any machine tool.
The 6 interpolated axes of the anthropomorphic robotic arm combined with the seventh continuous and interpolated axes of the rotating table, guarantee maximum freedom of movement of the cutter, to perform undercuts, reach niches and create articulated design objects.
All RM-RoboCut3D robotic cells are equipped with “high accuracy” robotic arms which allow to obtain the best positioning precision in space.
High speed electrospindles
RM-RoboCut3D is equipped with electrospindles from 2.2 kW at 24,000 rpm on the smaller 16 kg models and mounts spindles up to 7.0 kW at 24,000 rpm in the larger 120 kg versions.
The air cooling system allows the perfect heat dissipation of the spindle and avoids any problem of overheating.
The elastic pliers for holding the cutters allow the main milling tools on the market to be housed and guarantee the perfect balance of the tool, considerably reducing any vibration during processing.
Worktop and robot sizes
The work surface consists of a welded and extended steel table which can be fixed or rotating (optional). The table can carry up to 1500 kg in weight and offers a flat surface for fixing the workpieces by means of hot glue or threaded holes for fixing clamps.
RM-RoboCut3D is available in five sizes:
- RM-RoboCut3D 16 kg: maximum reach 1611 mm
- RM-RoboCut3D 60 kg: maximum reach 2033 mm
- RM-RoboCut3D 120 kg: maximum reach 2500 mm
CAM software: SprutCAM Robot
A single software environment to create the RM-RoboCut3D toolpaths.
SprutCAM Robot allows you to import the main 3D machining files (.step, .stl, .obj, .IGES …) and create tool path strategies in a simple way, always having the graphic simulation of the robot movements under control to avoid collisions.
SprutCAM Robot can manage all the 7 interpolated axes of RM-RoboCut3D, to create tool path strategies that optimize machining times to the maximum.
XMC 5 Robot: HMI interface for SmartPad
XMC 5 Robot is the operator interface for SmartPad touchscreen simple and intuitive, which allows you to have under control all the commands necessary to pilot RM-RoboCut3D. Through the software interface it is possible to: import the machinings, analyze the project from the 2D/ 3D preview and start the machining. The integrated Analytics 4.0 plugin manages and processes all productivity and processing status data in real time.
4.0 Analytics: data analysis software
4.0 Analytics is the data analysis software for the Ronchini Massimo machines, which allows you to: monitor, store and export RM-RoboCut3D productivity data.
4.0 Analytics complies with Industry 4.0 standards and allows all Ronchini Massimo CNC machines to communicate with the main business management software, importing the data of: life, production and error generated by the milling robot.
